The central registry for the .de domain name is a co-operative named DENIC. Starting in 2009 DENIC has allowed registration of single and two letter .de domain names and also .de domain names that only numbers. There are no registration restrictions for .de domain names, any person or any company anywhere in the world can register a .de domain name.
